The Miami Dolphins waive/injured LB Tariq Edwards and signed LB Ryan Rau on Friday, according to the NFL transactions release.
Edwards signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech back in May.
Over the course of his four years Virginia Tech, he recorded 170 tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, three interceptions and a forced fumble.
As for Rau, he too was an undrafted free agent coming out of college. He signed with the Eagles back in June of 2012 before later catching on with the Browns and Panthers for brief stints.
He actually appeared in four games for the Eagles during his rookie season and made three tackles.
