Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins are bringing in free agent DLย Ziggy Hood for a visit/workout on Tuesday.
Hood, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Steelers back in 2009. He played out his rookie contract with the Steelers before signing a four-year agreement with the Jaguars in March of 2015.
Hood lasted over a year and aย half in Jacksonville before signing on with the Bears during the 2015 season.
After the year was out, the Redskins signed Hood to a future/reserve contract and later re-signed him to a two-year, $2.7 million contract last year. However, Washington elected to cut him loose last week.
In 2018, Hood has appeared in five games for the Redskins and recorded three tackles and no sacks.

Dolphins finally making a move that is going to put them over the top!!!
Just kidding… This audition points towards going back into the conversation about how in the hell did they end up at 8-8 again? While Gase continues to be to stubborn to make the bold play that will make this a playoff team this year like trading for Patrick Peterson. I’m sure Hood is a nice guy and all… but he will have no effect on whether or not this defense gets better. Either way we still have Tannehill and Osweiller leading the charge so can we start looking forward to next year already? Or maybe 5 years…
