Jeff Darlington reports that the Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement with former Chargers LB Kevin Burnett. The deal is said to be forย four-years and $21 million with $9.8 million guaranteed.
San Diego was interested in re-signing Burnett but they were not likely going to be offering him this kind of money.
Miami recently released LB Channing Crowder so Burnett will likely take over his position. Overall the addition is good for the Dolphins considering that Burnett is one of the leagues most under rated linebackers but they may have paid a little to much for them. Then again, they landed a player that they wanted while teams like 49ers have watched them walk away.
