DT John McCargo Released By Buccaneers

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released DT John McCargo.

McCargo, 28, was drafted by the Bills back in 2006 as a first-round pick and has managed to start one game in his entire career.  He spent four years with the Bills before the Buccaneers signed him in 2011, but wound up being placed on injured-reserved due to a triceps injury.

It’s really hard to imagine a number of NFL teams lining up for him at this point in his career. If he ends up receiving an offer from someone, he would probably be wise to jump at the offer.
