Update:

The Philadelphia Eagles confirmed the report that they’ve signed QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson to a contract.

Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that the Eagles are expected to re-sign QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson to a contract.

Bethel-Thompson, 27, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2011. He has bounced around quite a bit since he entered the league, which includes short stints with the Dolphins, Vikings, Patriots and the 49ers.

Philadelphia signed him to a contract back in February, but elected to cut him loose a few weeks after they used the No. 2 overall pick on Carson Wentz.

Bethel-Thompson has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During the preseason last year, Bethel-Thompson appeared three games for the Dolphins and threw for 244 yards while completing 61.8 percent of his passes to go along with no touchdowns and four interceptions.
