NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora reports that the Eagles have been in contact with WR Plaxico Burress in recent days. La Canfora adds thatother teams have also reached out to Burress as well.
Burress has previously said that he’s also interest in playing for the Steelers and Giants so I’m sure that they’ve already checked in on his asking price. At this point in time, it really seems like the Eagles would make the most sense but that’s just from what I’ve gathered thus far.
Burress will be 35 at the start of next season and has shown no ability to separate from opposing defensive backs which leave him as a red-zone weapon. With that being said, the Philadelphia could use a large receiver that can do just that considering that they already have two wide outs that are more than capable of separating in the open field.
