Eagles HC Nick Sirianni Won’t Change Offensive Playcaller

Per Tim McManus of ESPN, Eagles HC Nick Sirianni won’t be changing the team’s offensive playcaller despite the loss to the Bears on Black Friday.

“We’re not changing the playcaller,” Sirianni told McManus. “But we will evaluate everything. It’s never just about one person. You win as a team, you lose as a team and you try to evaluate everything, win, lose or draw, and get better from it.”

Both teams entered the game with a record of 8-3, with Philadelphia falling to 8-4 while the Bears moved closer to the playoffs at 9-3.

Sirianni, 44, began his coaching career at Mount Union back in 2004 as their defensive backs coach. After a few years at IUP, the Chiefs hired Sirianni as their offensive quality control coach, and he held a few positions before joining the Chargers in 2013.

Sirianni served as the Chargers’ offensive quality control coach and QBs coach before moving to WRs coach in 2016. He was hired by the Colts as their offensive coordinator in 2018. 

The Eagles hired Sirianni to be their next head coach after firing HC Doug Pederson in 2021. They then signed him to a multi-year extension back in May.

In five years in Philadelphia, Sirianni has a record of 56-24 (.700 winning percentage) with four trips to the playoffs, two Super Bowl appearances, and a Super Bowl victory in 2024.
