Eagles Sign DB JaCorey Shepherd To Practice Squad, Cut G Darrell Greene

The Philadelphia Eagles officially signed DB JaCorey Shepherd to their practice squad on Monday and waived G Darrell Greene from the unit.

The Eagles’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB Byron Marshall
  2. DT Aziz Shittu
  3. WR David Watford
  4. LB Don Cherry
  5. FB Andrew Bonnet
  6. WR Paul Turner
  7. C Aaron Neary
  8. CB C.J. Smith
  9. QB Aaron Murray
  10. DB JaCorey Shepherd

Shepherd, 23, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft by the Eagles. He signed a four-year, $2,401,112 contract with Philadelphia and was set to make a base salary of $525,000 when he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

Last year, Shepherd, unfortunately, sustained a torn right ACL and subsequently missed the entire 2015 season.

The Eagles just signed Shepherd to the practice squad last week before cutting him loose to make room for Greene.

During his college career, Shepherd recorded 90 tackles, a sack, no interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 24 pass defenses over the course of four seasons.
