Eagles Sign WR DeAndre Carter & TE Billy Brown To PS, Release WR Reggie Davis

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday that they’ve re-signed WR DeAndre Carter and TE Billy Brown to the practice squad and released WR Reggie Davis from the unit.

The Eagles’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. CB Chandon Sullivan
  2. DE Joe Ostman
  3. C Jon Toth
  4. DT Treyvon Hester
  5. WR Braxton Miller
  6. WR Dorren Miller
  7. DB Tre Sullivan
  8. LB Asantay Brown
  9. WR DeAndre Carter
  10. TE Billy Brown

Carter, 25, originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2015. He lasted just a few months in Baltimore before he was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Raiders later signed Carter to their practice squad before he was cut loose and later signed to the Patriots’ taxi squad. New England elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract for the 2016 season but he was among their final roster cuts at the last of the regular season.

The 49ers signed Carter to a contract last year and eventually brought him back on a futures contract this past January. However, he was waived shortly after this year’s draft.

Carter signed on with the Eagles in July, but was waived on Wednesday.

During his college career at Sacramento State, Carter totaled 207 receptions for 2,760 yards receiving and 35 touchdowns.
