Adam Schefter reports that former Army OT Brett Toth has been granted a military waiver on Friday and he is signing a three-year deal to play for the Eagles.
The Eagles have announced the move and release of CB Jay Liggins.
Back in May, President Trump said he would allow military academy athletes to get waivers to join pro sports teams upon graduation, which paved the way for players like Toth to pursue an NFL career.
Vikings seventh-round LS Austin Cutting became the first military graduate to sign with a team following the policy change.
Toth fulfilled his first year of active military service and had been waiting to be allowed to join the Eagles and compete for a roster spot.
Toth took part in the Senior Bowl back in January and had reportedly drawn interest from multiple teams.
