The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve placed WR Olamide Zaccheaus on injured reserve and activated WR Laquon Treadwell from the COVID-19 list.
Treadwell was also signed to the Falcons’ active roster.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Treadwell, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $9,934,980 contract that included a signing bonus of $5,425,440 when the Vikings declined Treadwell’s fifth-year option last year.
Minnesota attempted to trade Treadwell and later waived him coming out of the preseason. He returned to the Vikings a few weeks later and finished out the season in Minnesota.
The Falcons signed Treadwell to a contract during the offseason, but later released him in August.
In 2019, Treadwell appeared in 13 games for the Vikings and caught nine passes for 184 yards receiving and one touchdown.
