Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Falcons are expected to sign WR Laquon Treadwell to their practice squad.
The Falcons will need to make a corresponding roster move, as they’re currently over the practice squad limit:
- DB Delrick Abrams
- QB Kurt Benkert
- DB Jamal Carter
- DE Austin Edwards
- WR Juwan Green
- DB Tyler Hall
- G Sean Harlow
- DB Josh Hawkins
- QB Kyle Lauletta
- P Cameron Nizialek
- TE Jared Pinkney
- LB Edmond Robinson
- WR Chris Rowland
- T John Wetzel
- OL Willie Wright
- LB Deone Bucannon
- WR Laquon Treadwell
Treadwell, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $9,934,980 contract that included a signing bonus of $5,425,440 when the Vikings declined Treadwell’s fifth-year option last year.
Minnesota attempted to trade Treadwell and later waived him coming out of the preseason. He returned to the Vikings a few weeks later and finished out the season in Minnesota.
The Falcons signed Treadwell to a contract during the offseason, but later released him in August.
In 2019, Treadwell appeared in 13 games for the Vikings and caught nine passes for 184 yards receiving and one touchdown.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
