Following Sunday’s game, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan confirmed a report from FOX Sports that DC Robert Saleh will interview for the Falcons’ head-coaching job on Monday, per Matt Barrows.
The Falcons have already interviewed interim HC Raheem Morris for the job and have been linked to a number of candidates including:
- Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy
- Titans OC Arthur Smith
- Bills OC Brian Daboll
- Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett
- Rams DC Brandon Staley
Saleh, 41, began his NFL coaching career with the Texans in 2005 as a defensive intern. He eventually worked his way up to assistant linebackers coach before he took over as the Seahawks defensive quality control coach in 2011.
The Jaguars later hired Saleh as their linebackers coach where he remained for three seasons. The 49ers hired him as their defensive coordinator in 2017.
Weโll have more regarding the Falcons’ job as the news is available.
