Smith, 24, was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Falcons. He agreed to a four-year, $3,080,872 rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $660,000 this season.
He landed on their injured reserve last season due to a knee injury. He sustained a concussion in Week 8 against the Rams, making this the second consecutive year he’s finished the year on IR.
In 2019, Smith has appeared in seven games and recorded 22 rushing attempts for 106 yards (4.8 YPC) and one touchdown, to go along with 11 receptions for 87 yards receiving (7.9 YPC) and no touchdowns.
