The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve placed S Ricardo Allen on injured reserve and signed LB Bruce Carter and S Sharrod Neasman.
Other roster moves for the Falcons include:
- Falcons waived LB Richard Jarvis.
- Falcons signed LB Richie Brown and CB Deante Burton to their practice squad.
- Falcons released WR Christian Blake from their practice squad.
The Falcons’ practice squad now consists of:
- QB Kurt Benkert
- OT Daniel Brunskill
- TE Jaeden Graham
- TE Alex Gray (International)
- WR Devin Gray
- C J.C. Hassenauer
- DB Ryan Neal
- DB Taveze Calhoun
- DT Jacob Tuioti-Mariner
- LB Richie Brown
- CB Deante Burton
Allen, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. He was waived a few months after he was drafted and later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad at the start of the 2014 season.
Allen returned to the Falcons on a one-year exclusive rights contract the past few years and tested the open market as a restricted free agent this offseason before signing his one-year tender worth $2.914 million.
The Falcons and Allen later agreed to a three-year, $19.5 million extension last month.
In 2018, Allen appeared in three games for the Falcons and recorded 17 tackles, an interception and three pass defenses.
