The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they’ve released LB Stephone Anthony and signed CB Jalen Myrick to a contract.
Anthony, 26, is a former first-round pick out of Clemson by the Saints in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Dolphins acquired him from the Saints in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2017.
The Dolphins declined to pick up Anthony’s fifth-year option last year and he played out the final year of his four-year, $7.731 million rookie contract. The Falcons signed him a month ago.
In 2018, Anthony appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded four tackles.
Myrick, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.49 million contract when the Jaguars elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Vikings signed Myrick to their practice squad and he returned to Minnesota on a futures contract this past January. However, he was waived a few months later.
In 2017, Myrick was active for five games and recorded a pass defense and no tackles. He also totaled 18 kick return yards.
