Vaughn McClure reports that the Falcons have expressed interest in former Dolphins G Shelley Smith.
- Following his release, Adam Schefter reported that Smith was scheduled to visit with the Seahawks Wednesday.
- Mike Klis reported earlier in the day that Smith was visiting with the Broncos.
The Dolphins signed Smith to a two-year contract worth $5.5 million back in March of last year. However, Miami elected to take the $2.75 million in cap space that they got from cutting him and move on.
Smith, 27, is a former sixth round pick of the Texans back in 2010. He spent the first two years of his career in Houston be he was waived and later claimed by the Rams.
In 2014, Smith appeared in 11 games for the Dolphins and was rated as the No. 54 guard out of 78 qualifying players by Pro Football Focus.
