The Falcons announced they are also signing DE Austin Larkin and cutting OT Devon Johnson.
Joseph had previously visited Atlanta after being cut by the Jets earlier this offseason. He also had visits with the Redskins and Chiefs.
Joseph, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Florida International back 2017. The Bears later cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
Joseph had brief stints with the Ravens and Vikings before the Jets signed him to their practice squad last year. New York brought him back on a futures contract, but elected to cut him loose a few weeks ago.
Joseph has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Larkin, 24, was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue in 2018. He was waived by the Cowboys, however, during final roster cutdowns at the end of the preseason.
During his two years at Purdue, Larkin recorded 42 total tackles, including 4.5 for a loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 18 games.
