Falcons Sign OT Ka’John Armstrong

The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they have signed offensive tackle Ka’John Armstrong to a contract.

Armstrong was one of the players to recently try out for the Falcons.

Armstrong, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Eastern Michigan back in May of last year. He participated in the Browns’ minicamp this week on a tryout basis and later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with Cleveland.

The Browns waived Armstrong coming out of the preseason and he later had a brief stint with the Jaguars before signing on to the Broncos’ practice squad. Denver brought him back on a futures contract after the season only to cut him loose leading up to this year’s draft.

During his college career at Eastern Michigan, Armstrong appeared in 43 career games, making 12 starts.
