Jordan Schultz reports that the Falcons are signing DT Tyeler Davison to a one-year deal on Saturday.
According to Schultz, both parties would like this to turn into a long-term deal at some point.
Davison tried out for the Falcons earlier in the week before recently meeting with the 49ers.
Davison, 26, was a fifth-round draft pick by the Saints in 2015 out of Fresno State. He played out the final year of his four-year rookie contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Davison appeared in 14 games for the Saints, recording 23 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble. Pro Football Focus rated Davison as the No. 83 interior defender out of 112 qualifying players.
We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
