Falcons Signing RB Terrence Magee Off Browns’ Practice Squad

Vaughn McClure is reporting that the Falcons are signing RB Terrence Magee off of the Browns’ practice squad on Tuesday.

This comes after the news that the Falcons will likely be without RB Devonta Freeman (concussion) in Week 11. The Falcons are expected to move forward with Tevin Coleman and Terron Ward as their top-two running backs this week.

Atlanta also lost practice squad RB Brian Hill to the Bengals today (NFLTR).

Magee, 24, signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May of 2015. However, he was waived at the start of the 2015 season before later ending up on their practice squad.

The Ravens brought him back on an exclusive rights contract back last March but cut him a few months later.

After brief stints with the Rams and Seahawks, Magee signed on to the Browns’ practice squad during the season. The Seahawks signed Magee off of the Browns’ practice squad toward the end of last year before bringing him back on an exclusive rights contract a few months ago.

Unfortunately, Seattle cut him loose shortly after this year’s draft. The Browns signed Magee to a contract this past June but he wound up being among their final roster cuts and was later added to the team’s practice squad.

In 2016, Magee has appeared in two games and rushed for 12 yards on three carries and no touchdowns.
