Falcons Signing Veteran DL Allen Bailey To Two-Year, $10.5M Deal

Adam Schefter reports that the Falcons are signing veteran DL Allen Bailey is signing a two-year, $10.5 million contract. He’ll make $6 million in 2019 and the contract includes $3.5 million guaranteed.

The Falcons brought Bailey in for a visit last month, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.

Bailey, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2011. He played out the final year of his five-year, $25.67 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2018, Bailey appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 38 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, four receivers and a defensive touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 91 interior defensive lineman out of 112 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
