The Atlanta Falcons officially placed C Jake Reed on waivers Thursday with an injury settlement.
Reed, 23, wound up signing on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Falcons and was set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.
During his five-year college career at Indiana, Reed appeared in 40 career games, making 22 starts at center and guard.
