The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve placed DE Martin Ifedi on waivers.
Ifedi, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He lasted just a few months with the Rams before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
Ifedi spent over a year in Tampa Bay before he was once again cut loosing coming out of the preseason and later signed by the Falcons towards the end of the season. Atlanta brought Ifedi back on a futures contract last year but he was wound up missing the entire season after being placed on injured reserve in September.
Ifedi has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his college career, Ifedi recorded 139 tackles, 20 sacks, four forced fumbles, three recoveries and four pass defenses.
