The Atlanta Falcons announced Sunday that they’ve placed three players on waivers including Blake Muir, Martin Ifedi, and Brian Vogler.
Muir, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Baylor back in May of last year before signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the 49ers. He was waived as the 49ers trimmed their roster down to 53 players butย signed on to Packers’ ย practice squad at the start of the season.
Unfortunately, Muir lasted just over a month in Green Bay before he was once again cut loose. The Falcons signed him to their practice squad in November and he finished out the year in Atlanta before returning to the team in February.
Muir has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Ifedi, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He lasted just a few months with the Rams before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
Ifedi returned to Tampa Bay on a future/reserve contract last January but was unfortunately among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. The Falcons later signed him to their practice squad in late December.
During his college career, Ifedi recorded 139 tackles, 20 sacks, four forced fumbles, three recoveries and four pass defenses.
