Former Chargers WR Danario Alexander Worked Out For Bears

Michael Ghelken of the Union Tribune San Diego reports that the Bears worked out former Chargers WR Danario Alexander on Tuesday.

According to Ghelken, the Bears did not sign him to a contract, but Alexander is reportedly happy with how it went.

Alexander has been out of the league since he suffered a torn ACL back in the summer of 2013. He’s dealt with numerous knee injuries, but had displayed solid ability when healthy.

If he were to get another shot, it seems likely that he would sign a future/reserve contract and compete for a roster next summer.

In 2012, Alexander caught 37 receptions for 658 yards and seven touchdowns over the course of 10 games.
