Former Colts WR LaVon Brazill Signs With Winnipeg Blue Bombers Of CFL

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL announced Saturday that they’ve signed former Colts WR LaVon Brazill to a contract.

Brazill, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Colts back in 2012. Brazill’s career in the NFL was brief and marred by multiple suspensions for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

The Colts ultimately elected to waive Brazill shortly after he received a season-long suspension back in July of 2014. The ban was later reduced to 10 games, but even that wasn’t enough to convince NFL teams to give him a shot.

Brazill played one for the Toronto Argonauts after being cut loose by the Colts.

In the NFL, Brazill totaled 23 receptions for 347 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Colts over the course of 25 games.
