Former Patriots RB Jonas Gray Signing To Dolphins Practice Squad

According to Adam Schefter, former Patriots RB Jonas Gray will sign a contract to join the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad.

Prior to signing with Miami, recent reports have said that Gray had interest from multiple teams, so it is not surprising to see Gray land with a team so quickly. In fact, the Titans hosted him for a work out just one day before the addition to the Dolphins.

Gray, 25, was waived by the Patriots this past weekend, as they cut their roster down to 53 players. He originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in May of last year and appeared in four games for the Bears.

The Patriots wound up trading sixth-round LB Matthew Wells to the Bears in return for Groy, so his time with the team was very brief.

In 2014, Gray appeared in eight games for the Patriots and ran for 412 yards on 89 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with five rushing touchdowns and one reception for seven yards.
