Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports that former Rams DLย Kendallย Langfordย finished up his meeting with the Lions on Tuesday and will visit with the Jets and Saints in the coming days.
According to Wagoner, the meeting between the Lions and Langford “went well” but he intends to meet with other clubs before deciding on his next team.
The Lions could really use some defensive tackle depth, but it will be interesting to see how talks go with the Jets and Saints this week.
Langford, 29, was released by the Rams last week in a move that freed upย $6 million in available cap space. He signed aย four-year, $24 million contract with the Rams that includedย $12 million guaranteed back in 2012.
In 2014, Langford recorded 25 tackles and a sack over the course of 16 games for the Rams. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 36 interior defensive lineman out of 81 qualifying players.
