ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent LBย James Laurinaitis is scheduled to visit with the Falcons on Monday and Tuesday.
Last week,ย Laurinaitis took his first visit to New Orleans to meet with the Saints after he was cut loose by the Rams.
Laurinaitis wound up leaving the visit with the Saints without a contract and reportedly has interest from a few teams.
It’s worth mentioning thatย signingย Laurinaitis wouldn’t factor into their 2017 compensation picks, so that’s a bonus toย consider.
Laurinaitis, 29, was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $42.12 million contractย that andย would have made a base salary of $5.775 million for the 2016 season when he was released a fewย weeks ago.
In 2015, Laurinaitis appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 109 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a pass defense and a safety.
We’ll have more regarding Laurinaitis as the news is available.
