Field Yates reports that free agent OLB Ahmad Brooks has been suspended six weeks for an undisclosed violation.
This may explain why there hasn’t been any reported interest in Brooks since the free agent market officially opened back in March.
Brooks, 34, is a former supplemental third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2006. He spent two years in Cincinnati before he was claimed off of waivers by the 49ers in 2008.
The 49ers released Brooks last summer and he later signed a one-year contract with the Packers.
In 2018, Brooks appeared in 12 games and recorded 19 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two pass defenses for the Packers.
We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
