Jason La Canfora reports that former Raiders S Tyvon Branch is a “hot commodity” right now.
According to La Canfora, Branch has already visited with the Colts, and is currently meeting with the Redskins. After that, Branch has a visit scheduled with the Chiefs.
The Ravens came up as a speculative option for the Branch given that they have a tendency to target released veterans given that they don’t count against compensatory picks.
However, we’ve yet to hear of any visit being schedule with the Ravens.
Branch, 28, was officially released earlier in the week in a move that freed up $2.986 million in available cap space for the Raiders.
Last year, Branch appeared in three games and recorded 29 tackles, one sack and a pass defense for the Raiders’ defense.
