Free Agent WR Leonte Carroo Suspended Four Games

Field Yates of ESPN reports that free agent WR Leonte Carroo has been suspended for the first four weeks of the 2019 season.

There hasn’t been any reported interest in Carroo since free agency got underway back in March.

Carroo, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2016. He was in the third of his four-year, $3.1 million contract when the Dolphins waived him at the start of the last season.

Carroo re-signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad and was eventually promoted to their active roster. Miami declined to tender him a restricted offer this offseason, making him an unrestricted free agent.

In 2018, Carroo appeared in nine games for the Dolphins and caught two passes for 94 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also rushed for 14 yards on one carry.
