Free Agent WR Max McCaffrey Suspended 10 Weeks

Field Yates of ESPN reports that free agent WR Max McCaffrey has been suspended for 10 weeks for a violation of league policy.

McCaffrey’s suspension reportedly began in Week 8.

McCaffrey, 25, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in 2016. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Raiders before he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

McCaffrey had brief stints with the Packers, Saints and Jaguars before returning to Green Bay in 2017. The 49ers would later sign him to their active roster and was on and off of their roster before being released during the preseason.

The NFL previously suspended McCaffrey for four games due to an undisclosed violation of league rules. He was recently drafted by the DC Defenders of the XFL.

In 2017, McCaffrey appeared in five games and caught one pass for four years and no touchdowns.
