Garcia Getting more Interest from NFL Teams

Jeff Garcia has already decided to join the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL but that hasn’t stopped NFL teams from inquiring about the veterans ability to perform. The Gilroy (Ca.) Dispatch is reporting that Garcia’s father has mentioned that the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints have both reached out to the QB in recent weeks.

“Minnesota had called him and said ‘if [Brett] Favre doesn’t play are you ready to go?,'” Bobby Garcia said. “But, you know what? Favre is going to play. I said, ‘(the Nighthawks) really want you and are willing to make you one of the marquee players in the league.'”

Given that Garcia is 40 years old, staying in playing shape seems like the best idea for him and his chances of returning to the NFL. The UFL should give him a perfect opportunity to showcase his ability and hopefully sign on with team mid-season.
