Jamison Hensley reports that free agent DT Gerald McCoy wrapped up his two-day visit with the Ravens on Wednesday.
According to Hensley, it’s now up to the Ravens’ front office and McCoy’s agent to see if they can get a deal done. However, Hensley sais that Baltimore remains optimistic about their chances of signing McCoy.
McCoy also visited with the Browns, who reportedly had a great deal of interest in him, so it will be interesting to see if decides to sign with one of these two teams or possible meet with some of the other teams have expressed interest.
McCoy, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He was in the fifth year of his seven-year, $95.2 million contract and set to make a base salary of $13 million in 2019 when the Buccaneers released him.
In 2018, McCoy appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 28 tackles, six sacks, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 interior defender out of 112 qualifying players.
