This allows Fackrell to practice with the team before New York has to make a decision on adding him to the active roster.
Fackrell, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3.1 million contract and signed a one-year, $4.6 million deal with the Giants this past offseason.
In 2020, Fackrell has appeared in 11 games for the Giants and recorded 31 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception returned for a touchdown and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 87 edge rusher out of 111 qualifying players.
