Giants Expected To Show Interest In Packers TE Andrew Quarless

According to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com, “multiple league insiders” expect Packers TE Andrew Quarless to be near the top of the Giants’ free agent list at the tight end position.

Raanan expects the Giants to show interest in Quarless this weekend when NFL teams are able to begin negotiations with free agents.

Quarless, 25, has played behind Jermichael Finley since he was drafted out of Penn State. However, Quarless helped the Packers win a Super Bowl after Finley was lost for the season. It’s also worth mentioning that new Giants OC Ben McAdoo was previously with the Packers as their tight ends coach.

Quarless could end up being a good bargain option for some team. Last year, he totaled 32 receptions for 312 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course 16 games.

  1. The Giants new O.C. should know this guy very well! Our new guy will decide this one cutting the risk due to hands on experience

    • Based on how poorly Myers played last year, I do think Quarless would be a slight upgrade. He isn’t flashy or a huge talent, but he is much more consistent than Myers has been and McAdoo knows him as well as anyone.
