Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Giants are expected to sign former Cardinals OLB Kareem Martin to a contract.
Martin, 25, is a former third-round draft pick by the Cardinals out of North Carolina back in 2014. He finished out his four-year, $2,843,560 rookie contract and made a base salary of $710,000 this season.
Martin was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.
In 2017, Martin all 16 games for the Cardinals and recorded 24 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 57 overall edge defender out of 106 qualifying players.
