Giants Sign Veteran CB Leon Hall To A One-Year Deal Worth Up To $2M

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Giants are expected to sign veteran CB Leon Hall to a contract on Thursday.

  • Jordan Raanan report that Hall’s contract with the Giants is a one-year, $1.5 million contract with with a $115,000 signing bonus.
  • Raanan adds that the contract includes another $500,000 in per game roster bonuses.

This comes just a day after Hall visited with the Giants. The Bengals were also in the mix to sign Hall, but they did sign a young cornerback on Wednesday to bolster their cornerback depth for training camp.

The Giants are actually pretty deep at cornerback, so we’ll have to see if Hall is given the opportunity to compete for a starting job this summer.

It’s worth mentioning that Hall underwent offseason back surgery.

Hall, 31, is former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2007. He has spent all nine years of his NFL career with the Bengals and is now among the best available cornerbacks in this year’s market.

In 2015, Hall appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and recorded 55 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, and nine pass defenses.

We had him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
