Giant Fire VP Of Player Executive Marc Ross

The New York Giants announced Saturday that new GM DaveĀ Gettleman has dismissed VP of Player Evaluation Marc Ross from his position.

“I worked with Marc when I was with the organization before,” Gettleman said. “I have great respect for him and high regard for his work. Clearly, we’re going in a different direction, but that doesn’t make these kinds of decisions any easier.”

The Giants recently interviewed Ross for their GM position prior to hiring Gettleman.

New York also waived RT Bobby Hart earlier today, so it is clear that Gettleman is intent on making changes to the Giants’ roster and front office.

The Giants have said that their plan is to hire a GM before turning their attention to finding their next head coach, so more changes should be expected.

Ross, 44, spent six years as the Giants director of college scouting before he was promoted to his current position.
