Giants Have Received Trade Offers For S Landon Collins

According to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, the Giants have received trade offers for S Landon Collins and his sources believe New York could move him for a day-two draft pick.

A league source tells Vacchiano that it doesn’t appear as though the Giants have closed the door on possibly trading Collins before Tuesday’s deadline.

The Giants have been one of the more active sellers in the trade market the past few weeks and Collins’ name has come up as a potential trade candidate, so this isn’t a big surprise.

Collins, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2015. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $6.12 million rookie contract that included $4.459 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $1,269,621 for the 2018 season.

In 2018, Collins has appeared in seven games for the Giants and recorded 57 tackles, no interceptions and four pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.

  1. If the GMEN can get a 2nd rounder for LC, then make it happen. I think a 2 and 5 would most likely make it happen, considering they got a 4 and 7 for Apple. Then make The Honey Badger a must offseason signing!
As for Jenkins, a 3rd rounder should get the deal done. Considering 2018 NFLSD Sam Beal (2019 3rd round pick was used to get him) is in the mix for CB next season.
Vernon will be a 2019 cap casualty most likely (saving NY about $11m) to go along with Snacks $8m in savings. Although I would check into a Chandler Jones/ Olivier Vernon even swap with Arizona.

    • You’re not getting anywhere close to a 2nd rounder for a rental. Sorry bro. Ain’t happening. It said day 2, not round 2.

      • For a rental?… The GMEN are moving on from almost all of reese’s draft picks and signings, believe it bro. Collins is 24, a pro bowler and has very little $$$$ on his 5th yr. option. A 2nd rounder will definitely be on the table for LC bro. If Apple got them a 4 and 7, do the math bro.
