Giants Interviewing Kris Richard For HC Job Thursday

According to Josina Anderson, the Giants are scheduled to interview Cowboys passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach Kris Richard for their head-coaching vacancy on Thursday.

As of now, the Giants have scheduled interviews with:

  • Patriots OC Josh McDaniels (NFLTR)
  • Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy (NFLTR)
  • Cowboys passing game coordinator/DBs coach Kris Richard (NFLTR)

Baylor HC Matt Rhule has been heavily linked to the Giants’ job but they’ve yet to schedule a formal interview based on the most recent reports.

Richard’s contract with the Cowboys is set to expire, which means the Giants won’t need permission from Dallas.

Richard, 40, began his coaching career with the Seahawks back in 2008 as a graduate assistant. He worked his way up to defensive in 2015 and spent the three seasons in charge of the Seahawks’ defense before parting ways in 2017.

The Cowboys later hired Richard as their defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator.

We’ll have more regarding the Giants as the news is available.
