Giants Officially Starting QB Eli Manning In Week 14

The New York Giants officially announced that they’ve ruled out Daniel Jones for Week 14 due to a high ankle sprain and will start veteran Eli Manning on Monday night.

All indications were that Manning was going to return this week, given that Jones was in a walking boot, so this isn’t a big surprise.

It will be interesting to see how long Jones is out of the lineup and what Manning is able to do on Sunday in his return.

Manning, 38, is a former first-round pick of the Chargers back in 2004. He was traded to the Giants during the draft and has spent all 14 years of his career in New York.

Manning is entering the final year of his five-year, $101.5 million contract that included $65 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $11.5 million for the 2019 season.

In 2019, Manning has appeared in two games for the Giants and completed 62.9 percent of his passes for 556 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
