Giants Promote LB Paul Hazel & Waive DT Dominique Hamilton

The New York Giants announced Saturday that they have signed LB Paul Hazel from their practice squad and placed DT Dominique Hamilton on waivers to make room for their new addition.

Hazel, 24, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with Jacksonville before he was cut and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns before joining the Texans this past March.

Last year, Hazel appeared in 13 games and recorded three tackles for the Browns.

New York promoted Hamilton to their active roster just a few days ago, but with MLB Mark Herzlich being ruled out for Week 14’s game, they needed some extra help at linebacker.
