New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw will miss his team’s OTAs, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, after receiving an injection of bone marrow from his hip in his right foot.
Bradshaw, who scored ‘that’ touchdown in Superbowl XLVI, received the shot in late February, with the purpose of healing the bone quicker.
“I got the injection in February. I feel tremendous after a month. Right now I have a lot of confidence that I will be able to just be a pound-for-pound back and just hold my own”, Bradshaw said.
“I probably can run now but I am not going to try for two or three months more… I just want to rest as much as I can. By the time training camp comes, I want to practice every week and start the season off right.”
Bradshaw had just 171 carries for 659 yards and 9 touchdowns last season, but with the departure of Brandon Jacobs, who has signed with the San Francisco 49ers, you’d have to think that Bradshaw will see more of the ball in 2012 if he stays healthy.
