Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Giants have agreed to a one-year contract with TE Ryan O’Malley on Friday.
O’Malley, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Pennsylvania back in 2016. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason but was later added to the team’s practice squad.
O’Malley was on and off of the Raiders’ practice squad before they elected to move on from him at the start of last season. After a brief stint with the Bills, O’Malley signed on with the Giants towards the end of the season, but he wasn’t tendered a qualifying offer last month, making him an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, O’Malley appeared in one game but hasn’t recorded a statistic.
