Dan Duggan of NJ.com reports that the Jets are signing CB Michael Hunter to their practice squad on Friday.
New York will have to make a corresponding roster move, as they’re currently at the practice squad limit.
The Jets’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL Ben Braden
- DL Deon Simon
- CB Terrell Sinkfield
- OL Geoff Gray
- WR JoJo Natson
- WR Damore’ea Stringfellow
- DEย Claude Pelon
- WRย Jalin Marshall
- LB Jeremy Cash
- RB Akeem Judd
- CB Michael Hunter
Hunter, 24, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May of last year. He was on and off of their active roster last season and later returned to New York on a future/reserve contract this past January.
Unfortunately, the Giants waived with an injury designation a few weeks ago and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. New York him fromย injured reserve with a settlement a few weeks ago.
In 2017, Hunter has appeared in four games but has yet to record a statistic.
