Giants Re-Signing WR Corey Coleman

Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports that the Giants are re-signing WR Corey Coleman to a one-year deal.

Coleman is working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered back in July of last year.

Coleman, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $11.654 million contract when he was traded to the Bills for a 2020 seventh-round pick.

Unfortunately, the Bills elected to waive him coming out of the preseason. Coleman signed on with the Patriots but was waived soon after and eventually signed on to the Giants’ practice squad.

Coleman was eventually promoted to the active roster and returned to the Giants last year on a one-year, restricted tender.

In 2018, Coleman appeared in eight games for the Giants and caught five passes for 71 yards receiving to go along with five yards rushing. He also contributed 598 kick return yards and 19 punt return yards.
