The New York Giants announced Friday that they’ve released LB Nate Stupar.
It would not be surprising to see the Giants promote someone from their practice squad in time for Sunday’s game.
Stupar, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2012. He lasted just a few months in Oakland before he was signed off of their practice squad by the Eagles.
Stupar had brief stints with the Eagles, 49ers, Jaguars, and Falcons before signing on with the Giants. From there, Stupar signed with the Giants early in the 2018 season on a one-year deal and returned to New York this past March.
In 2018, Stupar appeared in all 16 games for the Giants, recording 14 total tackles.
